LOL, I'd do the same thing.

You guys have got to remember that Rick has no control over the movie whatsoever.

More cast:
Persephone: Rosario Dawson (Seven Pounds)
Hades: Steve Coogan (Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian)
Demeter: Stefanie von Pfetten (Flirting with Forty)
Hera: Erica Cerra (Eureka)
What do you think?

Hmm...I like the Persephone choice. She's different from my mental image, but in a good way.
Steve Coogan isn't scary enough. When I think Hades, I think a seriously evil-looking dude. This guy gives off the comedian vibe.
I do not like the Demeter choice at all.
And Hera is interesting...but not how I pictured her.

Percy's age has been moved up to fourteen, I think. Oh gods...

Well...I don't want to be pessimistic, but I think there's going to be a slim chance this movie is going to be popular enough to get all five books made into movies. And they could always bump the prophecy age up to 18 with little difficulty I suppose...

They have officially cast Dmetri Lekkos (sp?) as Apollo.

The one person I cared about, and I hate the person they casted! Oh well...I guess if he can act, it'll be okay. EDIT: I just want to add that I saw an article where it said that Percy was 12. I think there aren't a lot of details out about it yet, so several just pick an age and go with it. After all, there was one that said he was a son of Zeus.

...what do you mean?

Oh, that probably wasn't so clear. There have been articles that said Percy was 14, a son of Zeus, and all this other stuff. The movie isn't coming out for a while, and I think that a lot of articles just kind of make up details. So you really can't be sure about anything.

I think they are making him older... Annabeth's meant to be 18

I wouldn't mind the ages getting bumped up, really. But then again, as long as it stays somewhat true to the book, I really don't mind.
