Do they ever get it right in the movies? Nope. They couldn't even give Daniel Radcliffe green eyes. And it mentions Harry Potter's green eyes every four seconds.

Umm... wow. Just wow. What do you guys think of Poseidon? Kevin McKidd, right? He's a blond. Heeelo? Have you casting people read the books? No. You haven't.
I'm really glad they didn't cast Cody Linley as Luke, a lot of those fan cast things on youtube used him, and when they cast Logan Lerman as Percy, I was scared, 'cause they were both in HOOT.
My sister and I were like 'what's the worst case senario for the casting?' and came up with:
Joe Jonas as Percy
Harrison Ford as Luke
and
50 cent as Beckendorf.
Ha ha, we're dorks.

I really don't think they've read the books, and RR isn't paying much attention

Well, here is what authors do about movies. 1. Sell the rights and get filthy rich. 2. Deny its existence. If I were an author, I'd do the same thing. Because I still have my books.

Yeah... I mean they must make a bundle... but sale's of the book may go down if it is truely awful...
