Name: Artie Callin
Age: 14
Parents: Apollo and a struggling musician from Vermont, Helena Callin, died of cancer
Allegiance: Gods
Years at Camp Half-blood: 1 and a half
Appearance: About 5 foot 6”, short messy spiked up brown hair, relatively pale skin, blue eyes, dresses in jeans and old military shirt.
Personality: Obsessive, defensive, utterly in love with a daughter of Demeter, quite witty but not overly intelligent. Does know lots of random things though. Prone to self sacrifice.
Likes: Reading, training, Kat (the daughter of Demeter)
Dislikes: People who don’t explain themselves, talking in riddles, giving up.
Strengths: Hand to hand combat, reading both latin and ancient greek characters, slightly more patient then most demigods.
Weaknesses: finds it almost impossible to stop, gets angry rather quickly, less talented at archery then most Apollo children, not a fast runner.
Powers: Posesses a tiny amount of foresight, is unconsciously aware of certain future events, and takes steps to prevent it. (for example, at some point needs to engage a sphinx in a riddle game. When he was in 5th grade, he spent 4 days obsessively researching riddles, believing it was for a project) This obsessive training is the root of all his skills.
Weapons: A kali staff made of Hesperidian wood that transforms into a bow when he says the word Apollo, a pouch that holds his staff and transforms into a quiver slung across his hip.
History: Artie is a halfblood, a son of Apollo. Due to the development of OCD in his early childhood, leading to obsessive study and training, he was never diagnosed with ADHD or dyslexia. As a result, he was missed by both the satyrs AND the monsters. At a young age, he was given a staff by Chiron (who was in disguise at the time) made of Hesperidian wood, which he would later discover had the ability to transform into a bow.
When his mother died of cancer, he followed her dying instructions to go to camp half blood and arrived, more or less, intact. Artie’s hours of training with his staff have given him hand to hand combat skills above a typical son of Apollo, and his instincts often seem sharper.
