I'm only Mortal
...This is my favourite fic to write at the moment.... and this is from the next chapter, is it confusing?
I scrunched my eyes closed. My head protested at the slight movement, sending flares of pain shooting through my mind.
“I’ve got us some passports off of the Hermes Cabin so we can drink.” Matt said, delving into her rucksack, pulling out three small books, and handing two of them to Leah and me.
“...Matt, how long have you been planning this?” Leah asked worriedly, as she opened up the passport. She frowned at the picture, before passing it over to me, “This one’s yours.”
I flicked open the new passport, with my new date of birth. I scowled. “Matt, when did you get this pic?”
“I just told the makers your name, and they did it all, then shipped it off to me first class mail.” He shrugged, smiling. “Are we going?”
Oh god, what had we done?! I didn’t want to open my eyes, every fibre of my being was warning me not to. I didn’t want to know why my right side was warmer than the rest of my body. Some things are best left unknown and this was one of them.
I felt as if I was about to hurl, while trying to sift through the night’s memories.
“Come on Colin!” Leah let out a pearl of laughter, wrapping a hand around my waist and dragging me onto the dance floor of a random club. I no longer controlled my hands, they made their own decisions, making braver choices than I ever could.
Our lips found each others, meeting in a messy first kiss as we continued to dance badly in the middle of the dance floor. Her hips ground against me as our kiss grew dangerously physical.
Oh God. Oh God. Oh God.
Leah giggled pulling me onto a train. “I wonder if they sell shots here?”
“Where’s Matt?” I said sensibly.
“I dunno.... let’s go find the food cart, get some more alcohol.”
I was aware of my shirt being pressed into my side. Oh thank god, I was still wearing clothes.
I briefly opened my eyes slowly blinking, while trying to grow accustomed to the light. I took in a deep breath when some strands of hair ticked my nose.
Shit.
