C.C. was looking around the ring, already sweating from hacking up a practice dummy. The damn thing needed to be sewed up again. A knocking on the door made her turn around, sword up. "C.C. it's me!" said Belinda. She sounded almost panicked. "What are you doing Lind?" asked C.C. as the door opened to reveal Belinda being dragged. C.C. growled and pointed her sword at the person's throat. "Let her go."

((Oh, sorry! Ignore my reply in the other topic, I didn't see it had been continued.))
"Hey, wait!" Koeset threw up her hands. "I thought that Chiron might not know she was here! Drop the sword, okay?"

C.C. reluctantly sheathed it. "Did anyone see you coming here?"

"No, I don't think so. Why?" Koeset was getting slightly annoyed with all the questions and no answers.

"She's special, okay? She has no family and no place to go." C.C. scooped up Belinda gently.

"Special, huh? Everyone here is special in one way or another. How exactly is she special?"

Belinda blinked up at Koeset. "My mother is Medusa." C.C. did a double-take. "Why did you just tell her that?!" she managed. Belinda looked at C.C. "I saw her fears. She knows what it's like to be an outcast." C.C. merely glared at Koeset, waiting for an answer.

Koeset stood stock still, rooted to the spot. Then:
"MEDUSA? I don't know whether to laugh or scream."

C.C. glared at Koeset, clutching her foster-daughter/sister protectively. "Don't make fun of her. And if you tell anyone..." hinted the daughter of Ares and Persephone, "I'll kick your arse (not actually what she said) 'til next week. Belinda, you need some food?" Belinda nodded, then turned to Koeset, who was still gaping.

"I'm not making fun of her," Koeset managed to get out. "And I won't tell anyone. So who else knows?"

C.C. glared. "None of your business."

"I think it IS my business," Koeset countered. "Who?"

"Bran," sighed C.C. "My boyfriend."

"And?" Koeset prompted. "How did you get her in here?"

"She has a cabin in the woods. And we gave her permission, okay?" C.C.'s temper, never long to begin with, was fast fraying.
