"You know I hate you, evil mummy?" Bran told it. The Oracle did not move. "What good are you, anyway? If it'll happen anyway, why do we need to know?" he asked it. A vague sensation came into his head. Don't shoot the messenger, son of Hera, He heard in his mind. "You kind of have a point," he told the corpse. "But I really don't like Aphrodite." Stalking out of the attic, he ran smack into another camper on the stairs.

((Sorry! I hope you don't mind if Koeset shows up here, too... '^_^ If you do I'll delete my post.))
"Hey, what are YOU doing here?" Koeset squinted at the boy on the stairs before her. "You're...um..Chex, right? No, not Chex...not Cheerios...um, Bran?"

"I'm not edible," retorted Bran. "What are you doing here?" Normally Bran had better manners, but he was cranky from the Oracle.

"You're not edible? Ha." Koeset smirked. "I'm going up to the attic to get a sword. Chiron asked me. But why do you care?"

"...Because you're blocking my way downstairs," Bran said, confused.

"Eh, good point. So move and let me go up."

Bran's chin jutted out stubbornly- he hated being ordered above all things- but he only said, "You're closer to the bottom. Please let me go down."

"NO. You move first." Koeset scowled at the boy in front of her.

Bran looked her stubbornly in the eye. "No. Also, is there a reason for that stick up your arse?" (Only he didn't say arse.)

"YES, you'd better. Or else I'll push you out of the way. And the only stick I see is in yours."

Bran smiled grimly. "I'm higher up than you." But surprisingly, he moved out of the way, shuddering as the mummy continued to glare at him.

"Thank you," Koeset tossed over her shoulder, smirking, as she proceeded up the stairs.

Just for revenge, Bran's foot tripped Koeset as soon as she got to the top, causing her to fall flat on her face. Bran then jumped down the stairs and shut the trapdoor. "Show her what it's like to be trapped in an attic," he muttered, feeling like a jerk all the same.

Koeset grabbed the sword and was about to proceed back down the stairs when she realized that the trapdoor was closed. Yanking on the handle proved fruitless.
"Di immortales!" she swore. "That jerk!"
From the corner, the mummy stared at her.

Bran began to feel slightly bad halfway down the stairs. He yanked down the trapdoor and sprinted down the steps.
