From William Shakespeare to Natsuki Takaya, who's books do you like to pick up for pleasure? (Aside from Rick Riordan's, of course!)
There are a lot of people on this list for me. A greatly chopped version would go something like:
-Eoin Colfer -Margaret Peterson Haddix -K.A. Applegate -Gordan Korman -Natsuki Takaya -Bisco Hatori -Hisaya Nakajo
Along with many, many others...

Hmmm...
Though subject to change:
Kai Meyer (Writer of the Dark Reflections series - which are very good) Ameilia Atwater Rhodes (Writer of the only good vampire novels I've read) SE Hinton (only author who ever made me cry) Cassandra Clare (author of the Mortal Insturments series. We have a smiliar sense of humor)
That's all I can think of at the moment!

My sister loves those 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' books I have to add one: Garth Nix (I loved the Sabriel series in 5th grade... haven't read anything by him in ages though)
